SSR

(Self Supporting Run-Flat)

The SSR is a tire with reinforced sidewalls. In the event of a loss of inflation pressure, it carries the weight of the vehicle to guarantee continued mobility. The car can thus continue on its way for another 80 kilometers at a top speed of 80 km/h [ca. 50 mph]. The SSR can be mounted on conventional rims and is especially well suited to tires with an aspect ratio in the 30 to 55 range.
