Goodyear Assurance Tire Named "Product of the Year" in China

After undergoing extensive testing, Goodyear Assurance tire has received the 2008 "Annual Product of the Year Award" from Auto Magazine, one of China’s most respected automotive publications.


Goodyear’s innovative Goodyear Assurance tire introduced in China in April provides drivers with outstanding traction and performance, and therefore, enhanced confidence. The tire accomplishes this by incorporating DuPont Kevlar® fiber, along with a silica-based Durawall™ sidewall compound to help resist cuts and tears. The Assurance tire’s ArmorGrip Technology™ also sports an array of interlocking waffle blades and additional silica-based compounds within its tread that provides enhanced lateral stability and de-coupling power to assist grip over varied road conditions and on both wet and dry surfaces.

The judging panel at Auto Magazine compared the Goodyear Assurance tire with Bridgestone , Hankook , BF Goodrich , Kumho , and Cooper tire products.
