The New ContiWinterContact TS 850
- Delivery in fall 2012
- Wide range of products for compact and medium-size cars
- Further improvement in driving performance
Hanover / Geneva, March 2012.
The new ContiWinterContact TS 850 debuts in autumn with a large number of innovative technical features. For example, a new tread design offers particularly good snow traction. To achieve this, the new ContiWinterContact TS 850 tyre has a directional tread design equipped with a maximum number of block edges for biting into snow and ice.
The new tread design gives the tyre the grip needed for safe driving in wintry conditions – for virtually the entire service life of the tyre. The new winter tyre from Continental offers this wide margin of safety not only on ice and snow but also on wet and dry roads. It can do this because both the handling and stopping properties are better than on the predecessor model. What is more, the tyre design has been further refined to minimize rolling resistance.
The new ContiWinterContact tyre is suitable for a large number of vehicles in the compact and medium-size class. No fewer than 27 tyre sizes approved for use at maximum speeds of 190 to 240 km/h will be available at production launch.
