The single-seater formula series was launched this past weekend at the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in Valencia, Calif., and will run as a support race at all European rounds of the championship in 2007.
"We are confident the series will be a success, based on N.Technology’s and Tatuus’ achievements within motorsport over the past 10 years," said Yokohama Europe’s Marketing Manager Kazuyoshi Sekiguchi. "One of the key elements that excites us about this Series is the fact that the race car has been build not only to the highest FIA safety standards but also to accommodate a hybrid engine. We are thrilled to be involved with the International Formula Master Series and look forward to competitive inaugural season."
International Formula Master is an eight-race series based on the S2000 engine regulations and is positioned as a stepping stone to Formula One.
Yokohama Spec Tire for New Formula Series
Yokohama Rubber Co. has partnered with N.Technology to supply Advan race tires for the International Formula Master race series.
