State, county and Akron officials are slated to be on hand for the formal announcement of plans to build all new headquarters facilities while redeveloping its present building into a commercial/retail center.
According to reports, Goodyear’s board of directors approved the plan yesterday.
Earlier this week, state agencies approved a 30-year financing and tax incentive plan to help facilitate the headquarters deal.
Goodyear HQ Project to be Announced Today
At a press conference scheduled for this morning, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is expected to reveal its plans to keep its world headquarters in Akron.
