Yokohama Signs Deal for Europe Test Track

Yokohama Rubber Co. has signed a lease deal with Spain’s IDIADA Automotive Technology SA that will give the tiremaker access to IDIADA’s new test track.

The track, under construction at IDIADA’s main technical center near Barcelona, is scheduled to open this April. The 15-year lease deal gives Yokohama primary access to the new 1,760-meter wet handling track, which the tiremaker will use for evaluation of tire compounds and tread patterns.
