Yokohama Sues Hangzhou Zhongee

Bloomberg has reported that Yokohama Rubber Co. has sued China's Hangzhou Zhongee Rubber Co., accusing it of copying a patented tread design.

The suit was filed in U.S. District Court, Central District of California (Santa Ana), and claims Hangzhou “damaged” Yokohama by selling tires that copy its S.drive premium passenger tire.

According to the Bloomberg report, the suit targets tires sold under the Stamford Sumo Firenza ST-08 and Stamford Sumo Akina St-08 names.
