1012 bhp Bristol Fighter-T Runs on Michelin Tyres

Kensington-based luxury carmaker Bristol has announced that it has produced a record braking variation of its Bristol Fighter model.

Seen as something of a Bugati (Veyron) beater, the Fighter T’s twin turbocharged and intercooled 8-litre V10 engine is capable of producing 1012 bhp and a top speed of 270 mph, which has been electronically limited to 225 mph.

Bristol Cars’ chairman, Toby Silverton, told Tyres & Accessories that all 20 Fighters planned for this production run will ride on Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres. The four-wheeled powerhouse will run on size 295/30R19 at the front and 325/25R20 on the rear. These will be mounted on five-spoke 19 and 20-inch aluminium alloy lightweight wheels custom made in the U.S.

A snip at £351,000, Silverstone reports that the car is selling faster than anyone expected and the company had received five firm orders in the week after the car’s details were unveiled.

Bristol Cars have over a quarter of a century of turbocharging experience. In January 1980 they introduced U.K.'s first turbocharged car – the Bristol Beaufighter.
