Michelin will raise consumer, commercial tire prices

Michelin North America Inc. will raise prices on its Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal , private and associate brand passenger and light truck replacement tires up to 12%, effective Sept. 1.


In addition, Michelin will hike prices on its Michelin and BFGoodrich brand commercial tires up to 8%, also on the same day. "This price increase will also apply to Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. retreads," say company officials.

The increases are necessary due to rising raw material, energy and transportation costs, they add.
