M&R Intros TPMS Safe Balance Compound

The maker of Magnum Tire Balancing Compound recently introduced a new tire balancing compound it claims can be safely used with TPMS -equipped tires.


The new Magnum Plus by M&R Tire Products does not require the use of a special filtered valve core. It comes with a nickel-plated valve core to replace the original valve core, as well as a high-temperature nickel-plated valve cap, the company said.

M&R said that testing confirmed that Magnum Pus will not harm or interrupt in-wheel TPMS sensors. The new compound incorporates microbeads that M&R said will not block the TPMS sensor holes, but still retain their durability and flowability throughout the life of the tire.

The microbeads are also coated to prevent any static cling that could impede the free flowability of the product to help keep tires in balance.
