Michelin to Help China Mine Customer

Groupe Michelin and China’s largest surface coal mine, China Coal Pingshuo, signed a three-year renewable contract in which Michelin will provide and maintain 53/80R63 tires for the Komatsu 930E trucks that CCP operates in the mine.

The goal of the service contract, said Michelin, “is to optimize conditions of use for the 63-inch XKD1 tires fitted on vehicles operated in the mine. To achieve this goal, specialized Michelin technicians, in cooperation with teams from China Coal Pingshuo, will manage the service shop, where tires will be mounted, dismounted and repaired, tire pressure will be checked and maintained at the right level, and other operations will be carried out to ensure that tires are used in the best possible conditions.”
