Michelin Hits 3 Million Mark

Michelin North America celebrated production of its 3 millionth aircraft tire at its plant in Norwood, N.C.
“The production of the three millionth tire is an important milestone for everyone here at Norwood,” said Randy Stroman, facility manager. “Everyone enjoyed a week-long celebration that included giveaways, promotions and an opportunity for each employee to sign the tire.”
 
The Norwood plant produces tires for a wider range of aircraft, including military and commercial planes, and is the sole producer of tires for the NASA Space Shuttles. (Tire Review/Akron)
