The Mud-Terrain T/A KM (“KM” stands for Key benefit Mud) is BFGoodrich’s Off-Road Maximum Traction light truck tire designed to be the rock-climbing, mud-eating, and terrain-taming king. The Mud-Terrain T/A KM was developed to meet the needs of pickup truck and sport utility vehicle drivers who desire maximum off-road traction.

On the outside, the Mud-Terrain T/A KM features an advanced tread compound molded into a symmetric tread pattern comprised of large interlocking center tread blocks and alternating width “DiggerLugz” that extend over the tire’s shoulders to provide the clawing necessary to dig down, as well as, work against the sides of muddy ruts for added pulling power.

The computer optimized tread design generates less noise and provides a larger and more rectangular footprint to further enhance rock climbing and slick surface traction.

On the inside, the Mud-Terrain T/A KM features twin steel belts on top of BFGoodrich’s TriGard (3-ply polyester cord sidewall plies) construction for strength and durability. Single strand beads enhance the tire’s fit to the wheel to improve uniformity and ride quality, while rim protectors molded into the lower sidewall help shelter the tire and wheel from off-road hazards, especially during aired down situations.
