Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT
Precision powered by KEVLARThe combination of KEVLAR apex construction, motorsport derived compound with specific nanoparticles and the different Touch Technology features, on the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT, it’s a complex innovation.
A summary of its key distinct technical features, makes it easy to understand these characteristics:
- Kevlar®
The most popular product name of an aramid fibre, created by DuPont. Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibres. The name is a shortened form of aromatic polyamide, and they are normaly used in high tech applications where an extraordinary ratio between strength and weight or high resistance to temperature is required, e.g. motor sports, high-end sailing boots, bullet proof jackets, space and aviation technology, to name but a few. The usage of Kevlar® in the tire construction enables to improve material resistance to torsion, tension and heat. delivering a more precise driving. - Nanoparticles describes elements or components in an atomic or molecular scale and as a wide variety of potential applications.
Going to the molecular level for example enables us to take advantage of nanoparticles dramatically increased surface area to volume ratio. When brought into a bulk material, nanoparticles can strongly influence the mechanical properties of the material, like stiffness or elasticity. Introducing nanoparticles into the rubber compound enable us to reach further grip level both on wet and dry. - Touch Technology
Combining a number of sophisticated tire technologies, Dunlop’s Touch Technology, allows you to get the most of your driving experience.
Using technical features as Multi Radius Tread Technology (MRT) in combinations with a flatter tread profile, an asymmetrical tread design with a variable land to sea ratio and a specific bead seat system, Dunlop tires with Touch Technology enable you to get improved handling performance and steering precision.
