Joint Stock Company "Nizhnekamskshina" is the largest Russian enterprise of tire industry.
The enterprise was founded in 1971, in April 2001 it will celebrate the 28th anniversary from the date of the first products output. The enterprise consists of two basic plants - Truck Tire Plant and Car Tire Plant. Its peculiarity is high-volume and large-scale production, monopoly of manufacturing tires for all-wheel automobiles "KamAZ". JSC "Nizhnekamskshina" has accumulated theoretical and practical experience of putting new tires into production and improvement of manufactured tires, testing of finished products.
Today the enterprise manufactures 120 types and sizes of tires. 25 new own models of tires for VAZ, GAZ automobiles, trucks and agricultural vehicles were put into production in 2000. It is planed to put large-size tires for combines "Don" and tractors "Kirovetz" into production since 2001.
The development of new generation tires and modern technology allowed to provide high quality and finished products rate level on a world market.
JSC "Niznekamskshina" was awarded with the "Brilliant Star" for quality by Trade Leaders Club and "Grand Cliche d'Or" by the Association "Mond sans Frontiers". The enterprise was awarded with the "Golden Mercury" for the amounts of products sold.
Joint Stock Company continues re-equipment of tire production, that allows to enlarge the assortment and improve quality of manufactured products with high user characteristics.
JSC Nizhnekamskshina has introduced and uses the Quality System that meets the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001 in design and production of tires for different types of vehicles and agricultural machinery.
Conformity of the Quality System to the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001 has been acknowledged by the TÜV CERT Certificate, Registration No 1510011003, valid until 14.12.2003.
At present JSC "Niznekamsksina" fully suits the needs of KAMAZ and 65% of GAZ needs. There was concluded a contract with VAZ for delivery of the amount of tires that covers more than a half of the automobile plant needs.
This year one third of all tires on so called replacement market will also be of Nizhnekamsk production.
In 2001 it is planed to enlarge, for example, the capacity of Car Tire Plant and to achieve the annual output of car and car-truck radial tires up to 6 million pieces.
