New comfortable high speed tyre ELITE 2

After the successful establishment of MP 35 ELITE passenger tyres Matador is coming on the market with MP 42 ELITE 2 summer tyres. This new tyre was specially developed as a highly comfortable tyre in accordance with the requirements of Volkswagen Concern for the follow-up model to Škoda Octavia cars. It is a new summer tyre for medium, higher medium and luxurious class of automobiles in the speed categories H (up to 210 km/h), V (up to 240 km/h), W (up to 270 km/h) with increased content of silica and high safety of driving on both dry and wet surface.

ELITE 2 tyres will be on offer in tyre profile widths up to 205 mm (including ). They will be produced in a three-groove version. For wider tyres from 215 mm a four-groove version will be produced which is intended for higher classes of vehicles: saloon, tuning etc.

ELITE 2 is intended for comfortable cars. It brings comfortable and quiet driving, excellent driving properties both on wet and dry surface and good mileage. The compound with silica brings reduced rolling resistance and fuel consumption. These properties are reflected in the ecological pictogram having the shape of a quatrefoil.

In the development of ELITE 2 tyres new methods of pattern and sidewall computer optimization and a new production technology of curing moulds, the so called whole-segment casting, were used.
