The Nordic winter tyre for extreme winter conditions
The Nord-Trac is a Nordic winter tyre with an extremely flexible tread. The tread compound is made from a special carbon composite, which, combined with the tread pattern, ensures an excellent grip on snow and ice. The tread pattern is composed of zigzagging sipes that greatly contribute to the tyre’s excellent performance in these extreme conditions. Results include a short braking distance, fast acceleration in wintry conditions, and an optimal capacity to shake off snow and mud. Water is dispersed by means of two large circumferential grooves: the risk of aquaplaning is minimal.
In addition to its outstanding suitability to winter conditions, Nord-Trac also features optimal handling qualities. Extreme winter environments and different types of snow and ice were taken into account during the development phase, including those prevalent in Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and Russia.
